This place is beautiful, and it is Mercantile Shop made a name for itself with the sale of Huckleberry bear claws. A freshly made Huckleberry bear claw is super tasty and a great camp breakfast starter. All right. The way there is a gravel road and you will meet holes if not graded. As an old expression, it is in the boonies, but, you must do this experience if you have not heard of Huckleberries. Who knows how good these bear claws are. A rewarding stop when you are on the way to Lake Bowman, as this is the only place to fill food, gas and souvenirs! Sandwiches are huge and fill and there is a good selection of MT souvenirs. This place has been so kudos for them for the successful maintenance of a company for so long and offer essential services for all visitors!
This place has a fun, quirky atmosphere! It's a place that has something for everyone. Plus, without cell service up there, you can actually pay attention to your surroundings! I 10 out of 10 recommend the jalapeño rolls or the ricotta poppy seed rolls.
Great. Very expensive. Perhaps the most delicious bakery I've ever seen. We bought: 8 bear claws (probably the best I ever had. 1 fritter 1 lemon huckleberry bar 1 loaf monkey pull apart loaf 1 huckleberry loaf total $85. They had no prices listed. I was surprised. The food was delicious. If we go back, I'd take the lemon-huckleberry bar over the bear claw. And I'd buy the monkey that's pulling the bread apart.
Polebridge was a must on our Montana trip. I heard about it in a song from Owl City and it looked interesting on photos so that we did the drive. It's worth it. This is a small shop with souvenirs, a bakery and other types of food. No phone service and it is near Canada! There are some big dogs that welcome you and they are sweet. The staff here is friendly. The views are also beautiful. If you think about making the ride of Whitefish or Glacier, just do it. Do not forget to buy a delicious bear claw.
It's a bit a car to come, but it's worth trying the Huckleberry bear claws for the bakery. There is a beautiful picnic area and a place for the children to stretch their legs after the ride. There are some souvenirs (t shirts, cozies, books) in the wishlist for purchase.
