Jack Astor's - Whitby

Tried this location for the first time when a bunch got together for an annual meet and eat. There were to be a group of between 6-12 meeting so they did have a nice table set up for a party of at least 16. There was a bit of confusion at the front desk when we arrived as they said it would be just a bit before they could show us to the table, even though we could see another party of two already sitting there. Anyways, we got together and had a god time catching up. The menu choices are not extensive, but have the usual bar grub choices. The pad dao noodles was a little cool by the time it arrived, and it did not have the usual snappy spicy flavour I am used to when having it elsewhere. Everyone else said there food was fine, especially the chicken fingers. The prices are fairly high , especially the beer prices. Worth trying once, but lots of other places to choose from in the same general location.

Sadly, our most recent visit this evening will be the last time we ever go to Jack Astor's.

Food is okay as well as the seating arrangement nothing special though, staff is fairly freindly and they have a good selection of food bit nothing stands

I turned up my nose at another formulaic chain (sassy attractive young two-dimensional waitress upselling) but I actually had quite a great meal and experience. Really enjoyed the wings and fries. I'll go again.
