A Tavola Bistro - Whitby

We love going here when we have a special occasion or client to bring somewhere great. The food is fresh and definitely not your ordinary Italian experience. The only negative thing that I keep noticing is that they refrigerate their red wine.

I discovered A Tavola Bistro about 2 years ago, (through TripAdvisor, of course) and have been going ever since. This restaurant offers a high quality dining experience. The service and food is exceptional! This is by-far, my most favourite place to dine in the Durham Region...and maybe anywhere! It is a higher priced restaurant, so we tend to save for special occasions, but you get what you pay for. They do have a lunch, (Monday to Friday), and weekday (Monday to Wednesday), prix fixe menu, which includes a salad, pasta and dessert for $35. I cannot get enough of their food, from the infused water, (my favourite is the strawberry & basil), to the intricately developed specials. I have never been much of a fish person, especially ordering at a restaurant, but A Tavola has changed my life! Their fish is like nothing I have ever eaten - fall off the bone, flaky, deliciously amazing flavours! And I cannot forget to mention the desserts - my favourite are the cannolis, but order early, as they tend to run out. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates great quality food! I will continue to return, again and again!

This fabulous restaurant is outstanding in every way. Quaint intimate interior. Impeccable service.........And the fooooooodddddd! Is Devine- just Devine.Scrumptious apps. Amazing entrees. And let's not forget mouth watering desserts that are worth every calorie ! Lol It's pricey. Very pricey for a Whitby suburb. But if you want a decadent treat, romantic night out or to celebrate a special occasion this is well worth it. Ciao !

We wanted to have a nice meal and it was rated number one restaurant in Whitby on Trip Advisor. The food and service were great. However, the atmosphere and décor were more banquet hall than fine dining. Food and wine were very pricey for a suburban strip mall. We have not returned.
