The bar area compared to where the baby shower going on was a little tight. Our waitress was great, answered our questions to help decide what to eat. The food I was pleasantly surprised that it was so good. Portions are big that we even had to take some home with us.
Came here with my wife for a nice dinner now that we live 5 minutes away and it 's definitely going to be our new date night spot. Food: I ordered the voodoo pasta which was a Cajun pasta with andouille sausage, blackened shrimp, and chicken which was OUTSTANDING. My wife ended up getting a chicken parm that covered the whole plate. Simply put, above and beyond great. Service: our waitress whose name I am forgetting unfortunately was outstanding. Funny, charming, and the whole staff was stopping by asking if we needed anything which I loved. Ambiance: a small gas fireplace separates the normal dining area from the dining and bar which is gorgeous. The outside is very pretty and I could imagine it is a popular venue for parties.
I was at a bridal shower on March 23, 2024 at this banquet hall. A guest was late and I asked the waitress (Colleen) to bring me something to put some food in the keep for them. She was very nasty and said that they do not allow food to be taken home. (I was not taking food home but trying to get a plate for the late guest, who by the way was a bad diabetic and their sugar was low. So I put some food on at plate and then they started to clear the table, so I picked up the dish wrapped in a napkin and put it by the purse. This waitress Colleen came over to our take and accused me of stealing her plate and napkin. And through a tin plate at me and said it was $3.00. She also said the manager said he would have me arrested if I tried to leave the place with it. She would not give me her name but said I could talk to the manager. He would not give me his name but told me her name was Colleen. He also proceeded to threaten to have me arrested and started screaming at me I am a 75 year old women and not use to be spoken to like this. I spoke to the Brides maid of honor who said that other guests had a problem with the waitress. The food was fair, but the service was horrible and rushed by staff. I left the affair in tears after they embarrassed me. NO one in the group every go back to the restaurant.
Overall I think the place is fabulous, delicious flavors, and affordable. Made a reservation for Saturday before Mother's Day party of 3. Made a reservation the afternoon prior and requested a seat in the dining room next to the window. When we arrived, on time, we were seated immediately. Waitress was friendly, attentive, took our drink order and twice gave us an opportunity to continue looking over the menu until we were ready to order. Cocktails were delicious and reasonably priced. Plenty of beers to choose from domestic and imported. Apps: Short rib tacos BBQ Chicken wings Imported antipasta board; cheese, olives, pita bread, roasted peppers, tomatoes mozzarella, fig jam, eggplant in a sauce and more ...yum! (all of which I highly recommend Entrees: (Included house salad with all the fixings, a green unusual balsamic dressing with delicious flavoring. Handed Short ribs w/ potatoes fabulous 8oz filet cooked to perfection w/ mashed potatoes and a bbq mushroom sauce. Upgraded to include Lobster tail (slightly on the smaller side but cooked perfect shrimp scampi w angel hair pasta, cooked perfect. NOTE: all the food was enough to feed two people. I love when I have enough to take home and eat again the next day. Dessert: Espresso was the size of double shots and authentic. Not the kcup versions you now find in restaurants without espresso machines. We shared the espresso crème brûlée which was lovely with a hint of amaretto flavor topped with whipped cream. The waitress was patient, funny at times and was a pleasure to have serve us. She packed each course of left overs and brought them back to us immediately. When I check on the packaging every item was placed neatly. She even asked if we wanted separate bags for each guest to take home. When the bill came I had expected it to be double cost based on what most people are now charging. I was pleasantly pleased to see a business with great food and still affordable. CON: I wish the tables were slightly bigger. Paper napkins feel cheap, look cheap and did not last very long before asking for additional napkins. I suggest switching to cloth napkins.
Before heading here to meet a friend, I read the reviews like any smart diner. Unfortunately, I got an idea that the experience with me either loving the service and hating the food or vice versa. However, I loved EVERYTHING. The establishment had a wonderful and warm, modern feel with some rustic elements to make the dining experience even lovelier. Our server was rock solid with perfect timing. He not only let us go at our own pace but he even apologized for some waiting time that none of us recognized due to the restaurant being busy. He was kind, gracious, and conscientious. The food was truly incredible and consistent. World famous pumpkin soup? Well, if it isn't, it should be! So satisfying and with such great flavor. It is a must for anyone dining. The peach and prosciutto pizza is wonderful but could use a bit more flavor. Their house salad is one of the best and most flavorful I've had, the scallops were delicious and cooked perfectly, and that dessert would have made me confess to crimes I hadn't committed. All in all, this birthday celebration for a friend was truly amazing. I cannot tell you how much I cannot wait to get back to Cinders. I live 45 minutes away but look forward to the drive! Highly recommended for couples, parties, or families!
