A really nice diner with a great atmosphere and good food. No more homemade fries when we were there but food was good.
This establishment was one of the few places open in the afternoon in Luxembourg, Paris, instead of closing at 3pm.
Wow. Are we glad we stopped. We were parked in some random spot in Wetaskiwin after a fun family hike on the Chickadee Trail trying to decide what to eat. Lo and behold, right across the street was the Wetaskwin Diner. We did a quick Google and it had good reviews on Facebook so we gave it a try - and are we glad we did!The decor is fresh and clean in good old fashioned soda pop diner style. It was clean and bright and welcoming. There was ample room for our larger arty of seven and shuffling tables around was no issue. The menus are filled with variety but every entry spells comfort. I had the Reuben, the kids had chicken strips, sister had a burger and brother in law had the roast beef and gravy with mash....and we all shared a pile of nachos. Everything was WOW. The nachos were piled so high and so meaty and cheesy......I bet there was a half a pound of beef on those things! Multicolour chips, fresh jalapeños and did I mention the cheese? Amazing. Better than home made. The reuben was fantastic and not too slimy as they sometimes can be and the roast beef and mash looked to die for. Ditto that on the burger front.I saw liver and onions on the menu, loads of burger options, magical milkshakes....you name it. And all VERY reasonably priced. If I had to choose between a fast food burger and anything form this menu I'd pay the extra dollar or two and come here.Little did we know, they had just recently opened! I hope they are around for years to come. I hope it maintains its charm, it's exceptional value and it's cleanliness. What a treat!
The staff is friendly! I wish they offered an "all you can eat" option.
