The Tavern - Westport

Called in to pub on Tuesday while on coach trip from westport with members of loughlinstown seniors group the service and food given superb food was fantastic especially fish dishes will definitely be back

Very nice food with an abundance of fish options. Had the mussels and wings starters, mussels were very fresh. We had the salmon and the scallops, both very tasty again, but the scallops were just lost in an abundance of mash potatoes and cheese, ended up being the resemblance of a fish pie with just scallops, my only fault with the evening. Dessert we had cheese cake and fruit crumble, both were lovely.

After climbing Croagh Patrick, this restaurant was a welcomed stop. I ordered the open plate combo with smoked salmon and crab salad, which was a great source of protein after the hike. My companion had the Cajun chicken dish and thought it was delicious. The service was quick and efficient.

Today, I climbed Croagh Patrick with some friends and afterward, we met up with family at the tavern for a meal. I ordered the open plate seafood dish, which was fantastic, and washed it down with a pint of Guinness. The service was excellent as well. Our waiter, who I believe is named Colm, was fantastic. He was very attentive and made our visit special. He is definitely a credit to the tavern.

We had a nice lunch, what it was specially made was our beautiful server colm he was the most beautiful attentive guy and made our visit in the tavern a very pleasant!
