Vanilla Beans - Westport

Great choice for ice cream cookies and coffee short walk from marina for those traveling by boat and staying in Westport

We have been coming to our cottage in Westport for over 50 years. Making a trip to the ice cream shops always is high on to-do list!We have tried them all (more than once!) but there is no question that our hands down favourite is Vanilla BeanAlways clean. Always friendly staff. Always great service. and best of all- always the best flavours!

Sooo cute exterior. Kawartha ice cream, Sundays, shakes, cold and hot tea and coffee beverages, cinnamon buns, and other sweets. There are a few bistro tables inside. So hard to choose, do you want an ice cream or latte ? Sunday or Cinnabon ?? *accessibility- not really. There is a handicap parking spot around the corner at the side of the building, it is two steps up into the store, the bathroom is outside and upstairs. It requires a key. The tourist centre however is kitty corner across the street, and they do have handicap washrooms. Still not the best set up at all for washrooms.

This is a great place,during the fair weather season,to take a break from shopping and touring. The coffee, cinnamon roles and ice cream are delicious. They have a nice patio with lots of seating.They are open early in the morning and are near the boat docks, if you cruised in from the Rideau Canal and stayed overnight.

As soon as Vanilla Beans is open for the Season.....I know it is ice cream time and/or coffee time. Both are great. For both family and friends.I notice when the boaters arrive at the Village this is the first place they seem to go to.
