The dining area is spacious, with picnic tables neatly arranged throughout. You'll be welcomed within moments of entering, as the owners always greet you with a smile and have the menu ready. My go-to dish is the Pho with rare steak, and I’ve never been let down by it in my six months of regular visits. The broth is amazing, and the meat is consistently fresh. You always get fresh mint, cilantro, and bean sprouts with your order, along with all the necessary sauces. While it may not be the most aesthetically pleasing place, it’s very affordable (around $5.00 for a large bowl) and perfect for people-watching! The seating arrangement allows you to sit comfortably next to a big family or a solitary businessman. Most customers take the food to go, but I've had many lovely conversations with those I'd shared a table with before. This restaurant is ideal if you’re on a budget and looking for something tasty. It might not be the best Pho I've ever had, but I keep coming back because the owners are wonderful and the Pho reminds me of my mother's chicken soup. Just a heads-up: it’s cash only, and water costs $0.50 per glass.
Authentic Vietnamese cuisine! I'm grateful for the delicious experience! The pho, rice vermicelli, and vermicelli with BBQ pork and shrimp were incredibly flavorful. Plus, they have beer available!
Absolutely! Quick service and highly approved by Vietnamese food lovers. Post-pandemic, it’s just as fantastic as it was before. Especially convenient if Pho 101 happens to be closed for the Lunar New Year.
OMG! Such an amazing PHO! Admittedly, it has been a long time since I had really authentic Vietnamese Pho from Southern California (traveled abroad in the last 10 years), but this place bleeded my mind. They offer other famous Vietnamese dishes, but this food is famous for its Ox Tail Pho. Try the court the next time you are in the area and take a lot of photos to show your friends how good it is. We drove all the way from Whittier to eat their Pho. During our second visit we ordered Fish Pho and Beef Vermicelli. Both were good, but the service this time was terrible, Pho served with an attitude. Diving is now available.
Delicious Pho soup with any kind of meat in it! I like the chicken but the men love the Oxtail! Lots of meat and very filling. My new favorite is #25, Vermicelli noodle salad with grilled shrimp on a bed of lettuce. Peanuts, cucumbers and a delicious light dressing really make it! Very casual, cash only and minimal English spoken but everyone feels welcome.
