Banh Mi Che Cali Bakery - Westminster

This typical takeout spot offers delicious and affordable bánh mì, along with a variety of snacks, both savory and sweet. While there are no tables to sit at in this location, they do have a full-service restaurant with the same name just across the parking lot if you prefer dining in. I really enjoyed their đặc biệt bánh mì #4, chả lụa #4, and gà #9, as well as the ca phê sữa đá and chả giò – everything was consistently satisfying. We even ordered a bunch of items to take to the airport before our trip.

Bánh mì is good, just have to the good ones to order. There’s also another smaller location nearby that sells chè.

The venue itself is a bit old and outdated—it's not a place you visit for the ambiance. However, the food is fantastic. The banh mi here is the best in town and only costs around $6. Everything is incredibly fresh, with a generous amount of veggies, and I was really impressed with the quality. In this economy, many restaurants are cutting corners, but not this one. I highly recommend trying the coconut flan; it's absolutely delicious!

I ordered three sandwiches, and while they were tasty, the restaurant wasn't very accommodating when it came to customizing or making substitutions. I requested to replace the headcheese with BBQ and was willing to pay extra for it, but they didn't accommodate that request. Additionally, they didn't make my sandwich spicy as I had hoped. The sandwiches themselves were delicious, but the bread could have been fresher and crisper on the outside. I didn’t think to ask for them to be toasted, which might have improved the experience. Overall, the sandwiches were good, and I hope this feedback is helpful!

4:45 am Sat 12/16. New hrs of 4 am 9 pm but when i arrived the lady informed me the bread was still baking so would be possibly another 60 mins for banh mi sandiwches for sale. Instead i bought 5 eggrolls for $4, great and delicious. They have minimal staffing so you have to get their attention when you're ready to order (i saw total 2 employees and they were busy cooking/baking when i entered).
