Country Cafe - Westlock

We have eaten at the Country Cafe and really like the food. We decided another night to preorder and take it out. Often when you do that with Chinese food it is soggy and not too appetizing but not here. The food was wonderful. The lemon chicken was in 2 parts ~ you put the sauce on yourself so the chicken stayed crispy. Delicious. The Wor Won Ton soup is a favorite. When you call to place an order the person taking the call is efficient and so friendly it sounds like she has a smile in her voice. So impressed

The place is a bit crowded and the interior hasn't been renovated since the ark but the food makes up for it. The staff is friendly and the buffet is always well stocked and the food is hot. If you prefer you can also get take out. You can get a wheelchair into the building but the bathrooms are not set up for them. It is family friendly and a good value. My place for Chinese food.

Was recommended to eat here by the locals, who said its the pink house past the UFA...can't miss it! Had Cantonese chow mein and deep fried wontons which were both absolutely delicious and plentiful. Price was very reasonable too...just over 20.00 for dinner.

Hands down the best Chinese cuisine in Westlock. The people there are friendly, fair and quick. We frequent this restaurant on weekends for their buffet dinner. There are less items in their buffet compared to other places in town, but it's way better. The food is hot, fresh and abundant. The buffet can also be taken to go.

This is far and away my favourite place for Chinese in all of Alberta! Having said that, it has the feel of a small town cafe where all the farmers get their morning coffee and talk about the weather (i.e nothing fancy.) The building looks like it could use an upgrade and it's oddly coloured. The service is just average and I've also had to wait during the supper buffet to receive my favourite entrees.All this aside, which can be a lot to a lot of people, the food here is just fantastic and in my opinion worth bypassing perhaps some of this restaurant's flaws. (maybe takeout would be a good idea?) As I type this I am dreaming of their crispy shrimp as well as the ginger beef which is very tender and flavourful.I give this restaurant an excellent review pretty much based solely on the food. Since it is well worth it! Now I'm hungry...By the way, the photo is incorrect but the address is correct.
