Sanctuary The - Westlake

This restaurant/bar has the potential to be successful if it wasn't for the rude and unprofessional behavior of the bartender, Mad Sally. She single-handedly ruins the atmosphere with her terrible service. I believe she should find a job working at a cemetery at night where no one will have to deal with her unpleasant demeanor. It is extremely frustrating and off-putting. I refuse to return to this establishment as long as she is employed there. I do not want to dine or drink in a place where Sally is present. Management should consider letting her go. If I could, I would give negative stars for Sally's performance - she would receive -100 stars.

The hotel was excellent with a beautiful, clean room and bathroom. The staff at the reception were superb. Unfortunately, my experience at the restaurant was dreadful. I will never go back there again. The bartender, Sally, an older lady with red hair, was extremely rude. I ordered the black laugh but the food was bland and unappetizing. The cauliflower looked burnt, the carrots seemed old, and the plate looked like it had been sitting out all day. When I politely informed the bartender that I didn't want to eat it, she was dismissive and told me that others had enjoyed it. When I asked her to take it back, she insinuated that I wasn't used to eating good food. I was taken aback by her attitude. I didn't tip her for her poor service. My overall rating for the hotel would have been five stars, but due to the unpleasant encounter with the bartender, I had to give it only two stars. I ended up going to Chili's to eat after being left hungry. Dealing with the bartender was regrettable and soured my first night at the hotel.

Sally was outstanding! She made amazing margaritas and the dinner at the restaurant was delicious. The blackened chicken on the Caesar salad was so good. It was a fantastic experience, all without having to leave our hotel. Woo hoo!

Having a drink at the bar is convenient when they stay here. Foodstuffs
