Comfortable rooms, attentive hosts and staff, good breakfast

I stayed four nights at L'Auberge Chanteclair and, honestly, could not be happier. The entire staff was accommodating and friendly. Your day begins with breakfast on the terrace overlooking the vineyards and ends with a glass of wine on the porch watching the sunset. Alan and Yvonne are great hosts and have a real enthusiasm for the area — suggesting places to go, things to do, and the best restaurants. This is a gem of a property and should not be missed!

We had absolutely amazing stay! Everything was just perfect and the property exceeded our expectations. It was so far the most beautiful hotel we stayed in and I would actually call it home rather than a hotel: Allan was the best host and from the time of booking, he helped to answer all my questions. He recommended and booked us some amazing wine tasting in the village and arranged a small surprise for my partner for his birthday! Wonderful place with only a few rooms. Peaceful and quiet with beautiful big gardens and mountain views in every direction. Hosts were great and really went the extra mile to make you feel welcome.

What a special gem in the heart of Franschhoek! A must visit. Meticulous attention to detail and a very warm and personal experience. We will definitely be visiting again!
