Waited a bit to be seated, then was quite a while before someone came to take my order even though there weren't many people. I ordered a Korean stew on the menu and asked to add japchae (as the menu listed it's an additional $2 to add it). Server said okay. When it came, it came with just rice. I decided in my head I was okay with it and was okay with no japchae, but decided to ask. I had to flag down the server because he never came to check on me after delivering the food. He said the japchae should be in the stew. It was not, so I showed him it wasn't. He then went to review the menu and I showed him the line where I'd seen the option to add japchae for $2 more. He was confused and went to go ask someone before returning and saying they don't do that anymore. Overall I was fine with it, but they need to update the menu and server should have said something when I ordered to begin with. Unmet expectations leave a bad taste in the mouth. Also, would he have charged me for it thinking it was in my stew if I didn't say something? Finally, my glass of water ran dry without the server ever refilling it during my meal.Tl;dr Food was good, but service was disappointing.
I will say the crab Rangoons were some of the best I’ve had! And they were STUFFED with filling- hope it stays that way. The bbq sides were tasty and bbq meat portions were good size. The sushi was blah, mostly just filled with rice. The shrimp tempura inside the roll was AWFUL, soggy chewy and soft, tasted old like it had been sitting out for a while. Shame the roll was $18, i don’t think it was even worth $8. All the grills were apparently broken so they gave us a portable table grill to use.
Incredible food. good owner. really great service. great sushi menu and delicious grill also. my favorite restaurant in the opposite by far!
I ordered the beef noodle soup yest. All daikon, green seaweed, noodles and 3! slivers of beef at 13.95. Where’s the beef? Never ordering noodle soup again nor will I recommend it.
The raw BBQ was okay. We got the meat platter thinking $35 would be a big enough portion for the price but no. It was soo small. Not worth the price. The meat quality was alright.
