Island Grinds - West Valley City

I seen Island Grinds on TikTok the thirty minute drive sure didn’t disappoint! I had the two meat plate (pupu chicken kalbi ribs) it was delicious! The crispness of the chicken with the marinate of the kalbi ribs topping it off with their sauce they make in store was just amazing! Also to top it off it’s Polynesian owned so the atmosphere was great, made you feel like you were eating food at your mom/aunties house!

My Uncle Aunty took my Dad I along to experience Island Grinds when we were visiting back in May/June this year.Wow! Blew my mind… everything tasted like it was prepared with love I left there (with my leftovers because the portion sizes are so so decent feeling like I had an experience not just a feed.I can’t wait to come back and experience Island Grinds again!Oh I recommend everything lolBut I will go weak at the knees for the ribs! ;

Best Hawaiian Bbq in salt lake. It's the consistency for me. They never miss. My go-to is the 2 meat plate w/ double kalbi ribs, side of rice side of pupu chicken skin. Friendly staff great service. Thank you?

The food did not disappoint! i got the katsu chicken plate and the kalbi ribs plate, OMG it was soooooo good! im a big girl and when i say that some food is good, you know its good! 10/10 would recommend

So I went to this place a few weeks ago and I was very curious as what they were selling which was fried chicken skin. I went there and ordered the Kalbi plate with a side order of deep fried chicken skin with a sweet teriyaki sauce. The chicken skin was . But the Kalbi ribs was very disappointing! The Kalbi rib was so thin that I could see right through it! The flavor was bland and the cut of this Kalbi was very thin and I wanted a thick cut with some bite to it. The service was very good and the cashier was very helpful with me in regards to the chicken skin. Overall customer service was great. The Kalbi was not good, but the chicken skins were excellent!
