Banzai Teppan Yaki - West Valley City

We haven't been to Banzai Teppan Yaki in a long time (due to a bad experience). This time was also bad. The “Ham Fried Rice” tasted like someone had stirred cigarette ashes into it. Clearly, whatever they cooked it in was NOT CLEAN.

Order showed up completely wrong and with allergens on the rolls which are not supposed to be on the rolls ordered. Called and since it was a door dash order they could do nothing to help unless I wanted to pay for my order again and than get ahold of door dash and wait 7 to 10 days for a refund. Said no thank you and contacted door dash and problem was instantly resolved. This is the third time I have had issues with this restaurant, will not be returning. My food had no flavor at all it was very disappointing. I order a pho and had no taste at all and the meat was overcooked. I also order a sushi roll, and it was hard.

Variety of great food. Spice level higher than average. The owner is super friendly and accommodating. Will go back!

Food was over cooked sweet and sour pork was hard as a rock as well as jumbo shrimp sesame chicken was not what What it used to be if I didn't get it take out and drive all the way home I definitely would have returned it. This once was one of the best but now they are just like the rest
