Ihop - West Springfield

**February 28, 2022** On Wednesday evening (February 23), the food was just okay, but our waiter clearly wasn’t in the mood to interact with customers. I tried lightening the mood with a few jokes, but all I got in return were snappy responses. If you’re not feeling up to it, perhaps waiting tables isn’t the right job for you. It’s unfair to take out your frustrations on customers just trying to enjoy their meal. **November 10, 2020** Delicious! I hadn’t been to this place since my last disappointing experience, but Tuesday night it was pleasantly quiet. I ordered a burger—yes, a burger at IHOP! While waiting for my food, I realized that the pictures on the menu often don’t match what you actually receive, but this burger was picture-perfect! The fries were also fantastic! I usually avoid fries at restaurants because they tend to serve them cold, but these were hot and fresh. I ordered a half lemonade and half iced tea, and it was just right—refreshing and perfectly balanced. The menu selection was straightforward, but everything was spot-on, right down to my utensils and glass being spotless. Overall, it was clear that care went into everything, including how we were treated by both management and staff. A year ago, I was not very impressed by my experience at this restaurant. I had pancakes that were just okay and nowhere near as delicious as those at Denny’s. On the bright side, the coffee was excellent. I also learned that Mr. Evans is no longer there, and I suppose that’s made a difference. He was always around with a big smile and would check in with customers, but it seems that kind of attention is lacking now.

I really enjoyed my meal; the food was fantastic, and the staff treated us incredibly well!
