The Quantock Belle - West Somerset

We had an amazing experience at the restaurant. We were lucky enough to arrange a trip on the same day by showing up and asking. Carol, the train manager, was excellent and sorted everything out for us. The train ride was very pleasant as we watched the scenery go by slowly. The food was delicious and hot, and we were served by Margaret. We enjoyed a Sunday lunch with salmon pate, vegetable soup with crusty bread, roast lamb with roast potatoes and vegetables, and apple and blackberry crumble on the return journey, with Tea and Coffee included. The highlight of the trip was the volunteer staff, who provided excellent service. We want to thank Chris and Bernie for a lovely experience.

Very enjoyable way to spend the afternoon. Heritage train from the village of Bishops Lydeard to Minehead in Somerset. Train is staffed and run by volunteers who were very friendly and attentive and the food was good. There was also a well stocked bar. We had a 2 hour turn around at Minehead which was a little too long on a wet winters day but we knew this beforehand and spent the time in a little coffee shop. A thoroughly enjoyable way to spend the day. We will do this again.

This delightful cafe offers ample seating and is particularly convenient when they utilize the rotating platform for their train cars.

We visited this restaurant on a Saturday evening and had a delightful meal. The atmosphere was cozy and the menu offered unique options. We had a very enjoyable dining experience.
