Mr. Micawbers. - West Somerset

I have been coming to Minehead for 20 years and had never been to this restaurant until a sudden rainstorm forced me inside. It turned out to be the best home-cooked meal I have had in years. The traditional British dishes were cooked to perfection, just like they used to be. The vegetables were fresh and delicious, the salmon was fantastic, and the fresh fruit salad was beautifully presented with a side of ice cream. The meal was great value for money and served with a smile. The atmosphere was peaceful, with no loud music, just gentle background music from Classic FM. I enjoyed people-watching from my window seat, and a staff member even helped me with my shopping trolley due to my disability.

The restaurant is located upstairs with a relaxing view of Minehead's tree-lined main road. I frequent this place often and the food and service are consistently excellent.

I absolutely adore this place so much that I make a special trip of 35 miles from Barnstaple just to meet up with friends here. The only downside is that it can get quite crowded, which is a testament to its popularity, and there is also no elevator for those who may need it.

We regularly have lunches at Micawbers and have always been very pleased with the food, the service and the value for money. A great favourite with Minehead locals.

Great food as always freshly cooked and very tasty ... it's shut on Tuesday and Sunday... definitely the best food in Minehead... and reasonably priced...
