Umai Savory Hot Dogs - West Sacramento

I expected strict Asian flavors, but I was pleasantly surprised with the variety. The Shinjuku Shadow dog was so delicious. The other dogs were also a great tasting. We will be back to try out the other flavors. So much better than driving a wine carving.

Edit: Unfortunately, all Umais locations have closed except for one in San Jose. There used to be three Umais in the Sacramento area, but now they're all gone. I’m heartbroken that my favorite hot dog spot is no longer available—what a sad day.

This is a neat spot to sample typical fare like hot dogs, wings, noodles, burgers, and more. While some of the flavors aren’t particularly impressive, I’ve discovered some that are outstanding. The staff is friendly and works diligently! Perhaps a bell at the entrance would be a nice touch.

Had tried this place for the first time last night and it was good. There are many different hot dog options to choose with meat and vegetarian sausage options. They include burgers, sliders and chicken wings. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean and well maintained. The case on the hot connection was very uncomfortable and will definitely not order it again. I look forward to returning and trying another hot dog.

Came on a Saturday afternoon and it was slow. The employee who took our order was very friendly and helpful. There are a multitude of interesting flavors of hot dogs here so I highly recommend it if you're feeling a little adventurous. Check Groupon, perhaps there's still a deal.
