Yankee Smokehouse - West Ossipee

Overall, the experience was quite average. While the staff was very friendly, the food didn't quite stand out. The pulled pork had a store-bought taste and appearance, and the sandwich could have benefitted from some pickles. The BBQ sauce tasted similar to Ken's BBQ, which wasn't particularly impressive. The fries, although cooked nicely and crispy, felt like an afterthought. The pizza was slightly overcooked. In summary, the food wasn't bad, but it didn't align with what one would expect from a restaurant that brands itself as a BBQ spot.

This restaurant is fantastic. I've been coming here for over 30 years, and it still maintains its charm and delicious food. The new owners appear to be passionate and attentive to their customers. They've also made some nice improvements to the bar and restrooms. The Yankee Smokehouse Chili with Texas Toast is simply the best. When I arrived, the host mentioned there would be a 15-minute wait, but I was seated in less than 5 minutes. I was promptly served a cold beer and my meal arrived quickly. It's the first time I've spent under $50 for a party of four in a long time—very affordable!

During our visit for Bike Week, I have to say that the smoked wings are incredible! The cornbread with maple butter is just as fantastic. You absolutely have to try this place if you're in the area!

The staff is friendly and the portions are large. However, the food was more than hit. We enjoyed the pulled pig and the ribs were smoked, but a little dry. The chicken and the brisket were also dry and underseasoned. Next time we're here.

Family of five tried this out for the first time. Kids had cheeseburger, chicken fingers and grilled cheese. Can't get them to try BBQ. I had the single person sampler and the wife had the Joe's rib dip. We got a side or corn bread and salad. All the food was great, really enjoyed the corn bread, Cole slaw and beans the most. Wife was really happy with the rib dip. Plenty left over on the single sampler for lunch tomorrow....yeah!!!
