The Wilshire Grand - West Orange

I recently had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at The Wilshire Grand Hotel, and I must say, it was an utterly exceptional experience. The venue's aesthetic is breathtakingly beautiful, providing an elegant backdrop for capturing stunning photographs. The spacious, well lit interiors and meticulously maintained gardens allowed for perfect shots from every angle. From the exquisite detailing in the Grand Ballroom to the charming outdoor spaces, each setting offered a unique atmosphere that brought the couple's special day to life in my lens.Beyond the venue's inherent beauty, the staff at The Wilshire Grand were incredibly accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure a seamless experience. They were attentive and helpful, making certain all spaces were well prepared for each part of the day. Their professionalism and dedication to creating a memorable event were evident in every interaction. The blend of the venue's elegance, the delightful staff, and the joyous wedding celebration made my photography job not just easy, but a true pleasure. I look forward to capturing more cherished moments at The Wilshire Grand Hotel in the future :

A huge stretch to call this establishment a 4 star hotel. Needs major TLC. No hot water in the shower, dirty toilet seat and the toilet leaked all over the bathroom floor when flushed. Kinda missed the mark on the basics!! Do better Wilshire Grand Look elsewhere for your stay in the area.

We booked a room and when we arrived. The phone in the room did not work and the toilet did not work. They did not offer another room and they had the toilet fixed but the phone was not fixed. We asked for another room and that was not an option. The front desk attendant told us the she cannot accomodate us due to no rooms available or call a manager because they will not answer. We were told that there is no managers scheduled for duty at night. We met another worker and they tried to call a manager twice in front of us and the manager never answered the phone.This was my first time at this hotel and I cannot recommend this facility to anyone due to the service we received.

On June 9th, called to book for a wedding today (7/22). Was told that they didn’t have the block rate yet, but clearly confirmed for Thurs-Sun, with confirmation number. Upon arriving, was informed that we had only booked for one night and they had no availability. They also did not give us the accurate wedding block rate. After a manager intervened they could get us one night, but not the nights I had booked. Thank you for kicking out the brother of the bride on her wedding day.Additionally, we were from Florida and had nowhere to stay. This also just happen to occur on my birthday. Ridiculous.Walkability: Great shops nearby to walk to

**Pros:** The cleanliness was outstanding, and the decor was both tasteful and well-maintained in the room and common areas. The room was more spacious than I expected. It was also great to have access to coffee and juice from machines available 24/7. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. **Cons:** Unfortunately, the safe in our room was locked, and despite reporting it to the front desk twice, the issue wasn’t resolved. The breakfast options were limited, featuring only basic items like eggs, sausage, sugary cereals, one type of fruit (bananas), and dry pastries, along with only white bread. One evening, the coffee machine leaked, and the flavored coffee creamer ran out without being replenished. It’s worth noting that the hotel seems to be a popular choice for large events like weddings. However, I was pleasantly surprised that, despite a wedding happening during our stay, we didn’t hear any noise in the evenings. Overall, we would consider staying here again in the future if the opportunity arises.
