Long John Silver's A&w (70018)

It was great to see that the place is still around after many years. My only complaint is that when we stopped by, the dining room was closed, and there were no trash cans outside where we ended up eating our food.

I encountered an older woman at the restaurant who I assume was a manager based on her attire, but she was quite rude. Since it was my first experience trying Long John Silver's, I'm not inclined to return.

Absolutely terrible experience. We came in for lunch this afternoon and I was immediately concerned by how empty the restaurant was and the overall rundown appearance of the inside. We ordered a double cheeseburger with hush puppies and a chicken tender meal with hush puppies and fries. When our food arrived, the burger was completely cold and the hush puppies felt like they had been sitting out for a while—also not warm. The chicken was hot, but we didn’t receive our fries right away. After waiting more than five minutes for them, when they finally arrived, they were also cold. Overall, the food was extremely disappointing. On a positive note, the gentleman at the counter provided great service. However, I was quite disturbed to see a woman walk behind the counter without any uniform or indication that she worked there. Yikes.

Whenever I feel like something different for a change, I go to Long John Silver's! Their meals are reasonably priced and the portions are respectable. Who doesn't love hush puppies?!? I went with the L12, which is 3 pieces of chicken and 2 pieces offish along with 2 sides and a couple hush puppies. Some people don't know that you can actually ask for the same side for bothof your sides with their meals, so I went with 2 sides of fries. The fish and the chicken were both super crispy and the frieswere delicious with some packets of ketchup they will give you if you ask. I saltwater get extra hush puppies because they arevery cheap and they are good even when reheated. Recommend stopping here if you like fish and chicken, or popcorn shrimp! I tryto stop by at least once a month when I get a craving for some seafood. Gave 4 because the A&W in same building shuts down thegrill at 7pm... Some people work later and eat dinner around 7-8pm, so why lose out on business to the Wendy's or McDonald'sthat are close by

I feel like Long John silver's is one of those places where the more weathered the outside of it looks the better the food is because wow the fish planks today were on point.
