La Capanna - West Lothian

We had a wonderful family meal yesterday to celebrate the graduations of our twin girls. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant for large parties.

I called to clarify a confusion with an order and tried to resolve it. I spoke with a kind lady who then passed me to the owner. The owner came on the phone and did not allow me to speak, instead using profanity and yelling at me before hanging up. If he had checked our previous orders, he would have seen that we have been loyal customers for years. This was the first time we had to call to clear up an issue. I was shocked by the way he spoke to me and how he handled the situation.

I have been a loyal customer of La Capanna for years and I have never been let down. I ordered a fish supper, spam fritter supper, and a portion of donner meat. The donner meat was flavorful, the fish was cooked perfectly, and my Mum enjoyed her fritters. The chips were also delicious. The delivery driver was courteous and friendly.

Have been a regular customer at Lacapana as we love their chicken kebabs. However, after last nights kebabs we will not be back. Firstly we were in doubt that the meat was actually chicken as it was brown in colour was also full of fat and grizzle. Ending up binning them not ideal given they are over £8 a pop!! No sauce on daughter's burger either, which we asked for, but that's not the end of the world just annoying really.

I ordered a hamburger supper and even though the food arrived fast it was clearly uncooked in the middle as parts of it were cooked and put me off the rest of my meal.
