Papa's Fish And Chip - West Lindsey

I wish I had read the reviews before visiting this restaurant. Unfortunately, since reopening with new owners, the fish and chips were not good. There were only two staff members working on a Friday night, so the wait was long. They also tried to give me one less portion of mushy peas than I ordered, which turned out to be burnt. The fish was okay, but the batter was either rock hard or soggy. Overall, I will not be returning to this restaurant.

The restaurant has declined in quality from what it used to be. It appeared to be very understaffed tonight, and unfortunately, this will be my final visit.

The food at this restaurant is quite good, however we were disappointed to see an inappropriate reference on our receipt. We will be bringing this to the attention of the manager once they pick up the phone. We noticed this after we arrived home and my wife is upset about it.

Cold peas, hard warmed up chips and fish smelled off. Car and house now smell worse than fish docks. Used to be lovely. Wont go again!

Called in on my way home, (18:10) today and ordered Sausage chips and gravy, plus Steak Pie chips and gravy. When I got home discovered….. 1. The sausage was missing. 2. The chips were not fresh and tasted a bit like cardboard. 3. Lots of small chips, which were hard. 4. Gravy was overly thick Not a great experience, cannot recommend.
