The last three times I have visited this restaurant, the chips have not been fresh. Whether it was with the sausage dinners, chips curry, or fish and chips, they were all unappetizing to the point where my family of four had to throw them away. I wouldn't mind if this happened occasionally, but considering we spend around £20 to £25 each time, I expect the food to be edible. It's disappointing because when the chips are fresh, they are quite enjoyable, but unfortunately, that seems to be a rare occurrence now.
This restaurant is very popular in the area. Located on the high street in Old Skelmersdale, it is easy to find with plenty of parking spaces available. During busy times, they may be a bit slow, but the wait is worth it for the fresh, hot, and delicious meals. The curry sauce is a standout, with a classic Katsu flavor and just the right amount of heat. You won't be disappointed by the food, service, or atmosphere. A well-deserved 5-star rating.
The food at this restaurant is always fresh, visually appealing, and delicious. The dishes are served hot as they are kept in a warming cabinet until they are ready to be picked up. There is a wide range of options to choose from, including traditional fish and chips, Chinese meals, burgers, and kebabs. Additionally, unlike most chip shops, they accept card payments, making the ordering process more convenient. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for a satisfying meal.
The fish and chips are fantastic, especially when they are fresh! Our teenager enjoys the chicken nuggets and chips as well. The fried rice is delicious, especially when paired with the sweet and tangy dressings (my favorite is the king prawns). Some of the Asian dishes are too vinegary though, making them overly sharp rather than flavorful. The chow mein is tasty but a bit dry. Overall, the experience can vary depending on what you order. It's a good spot for British cuisine, but not our top choice for Asian dishes.
