Cool, rainy December day calls for bbq and Smokehouse 228 did not disappoint. I may have been the first customer of the day, but was quickly and warmly greeted. I ordered the Pudgy Plate, which comes with 2 meats and 2 sides. I got pork and brisket. The meat was hot and juicy. For sides I got the Cajun potato salad and slaw. I highly recommend the Cajun potato salad! It’s on the lake but this time of year it’s a mud pit. I need to come back in the spring. But this time of year go for the excellent bbq!

This place is no joke. The BBQ is wonderful! The portions are very generous! You won't regret giving this place a try. The mac n cheese is a must try!
