Great food, great service, and great atmosphere! The rolls and salad are amazing!!!

I 've been to Altruda 's numerous times over the years, and it was always enjoyable. The food and ambience kept us coming back to support a local business. It was where we went to celebrate anniversaries, new jobs, our first home, etc. We recommended it to friends and family. The past two or three times, however, have been so far removed from what it used to be that I 'm saddened. I wish I were exaggerating when I said that the sauce in my lasagna tasted so strongly of canned Chef Boyardee that I couldn 't finish it. The ground meat in it was flavorless and mush-like, the cheese also was flavorless. The rolls were so hard and stale that we had to soak them in the garlic butter to make them edible. The salad was soggy. If I 'm going to spend over $100 on dinner for two, then I 'll go somewhere with more flavorful, less canned italian fare. And for that price, I would also hope to not see cheap, torn plastic table covers and dirty carpet. Also, I would hope that an owner would read this and instead of getting defensive, maybe try being introspective and looking back on where corners have been cut and rethink those choices. This isn 't an attack on the establishment, it 's disappointment in going out to celebrate and getting subpar food. Sidenote: Our server was excellent, no complaints there!

I came here for my birthday dinner and it was delightful! Our server, Jonathan, was fantastic : Super attentive, kind, and he made the entire experience 10x better! It was a great night ?

Wait, staff outstanding. Food always served hot even with a large group. Quality and quantity for the price. Garlic rolls hot, moist, and delicious. Salad perfect temp. Food cooked to perfection with delicious sauces.
