Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant

Was recommended this by a local, so decided to give it a try.It is at the back of the Great Northern Hotel through the bar.The lady serving was abrupt, but as I have lived in Hong Kong, and know how they operate, I would expect no less. We were a little late, and she basically told us to hurry up and order as they were closing soon.We ordered, and after a little use of Cantonese, she loosened up a little, but still there was no great service.Fortunately, the food, and the generosity of the servings makes up for the service (or lack thereof), as the dishes were very tasty, well presented, and plentiful.If I was back in Kempsey, I wouldn't hesitate returning-for the food, but wouldn't rush to book it for a special occasion due to the service.Great Chinese food, with typical, seemingly disinterested Chinese service.

Great food, fresh and well seasoned, served by friendly staff and reasonably priced. Clean, well maitained premises run by an obviously proud family. Well done

This is really great value for money in particular their lunchtime specials.Meals are consistently good, the only negative is that the staff are inclined to consider you an interruption to their day!Takeaway is very popular and always good. In my opinion Kempsey's best Chinese restaurant

Photos are not for this restaurant. This restaurant is at the back of the Great Northern Hotel, entrance is through the pub - there is no proper signage. This restaurant was recommended to us by a local so we gave it a go.We were surprised by this little gem, food and portion was terrific and the price even better!The kitchen closes early 8 pm.

This restaurant is a good choice for dinner while staying in Kempsey. Easy to find along main. Street.
