Zao Modern Asian Cafe - West Jordan

Love Zao and always enjoy it when they actually give me what I order and pay for. I understand things get crazy, I work in food myself as a second gig but I?ve yet to have an order be made correctly here unfortunately. My advice is to order inside and check the bag before heading out other than that. Great food, staff just kinda sucks.

I picked up an online order and also got a bowl for myself for dinner. For some reason they are charging extra right now for chicken so I tried meatballs with curry sauce. My bowl had 5 yummy meatballs. Unfortunately the curry sauce was runny and bland. The taco and bowl I got for the kids were not enjoyed. The noodles and meat had no flavor event with teriyaki sauce. The meat didn't taste Iike real steak according to my 10 year old nephew. Even the apple juice that came with the kids meal tasted watered down. It did say organic but I tried a sip and no thanks. Service was pretty fast but the food was mediocre unfortunately..

This is a great place to eat in Jordan Landing. They are efficient, friendly, and the atmosphere is good. I am honestly not sure why it isn?t more crowded. They have a lot of gluten free options. In fact, most of the menu is gluten free. I will definitely be returning.

Tried the bowl with yakisoba noodles and beef. It was delicious. Also tried the soup with rice and vermicelli noodles with chicken. Zao?s does a great job with their flavor profile. Staff was taking covid precautions and they were very polite.

I had the steak bowl. The food tastes good and isn?t greasy and the staff is super attentive. Definitely would recommend!
