Wj Hometown Diner - West Jefferson

The cheeseburger and french fries were quite tasty.

The Western omelet was greasy, but overall it was just okay.

The food and atmosphere at this restaurant were fantastic. The staff was very friendly and the food was amazing. My family will definitely make this a regular stop on our trips to the mountains.

Hometown Diner is a GREAT spot for breakfast or lunch. The food is GOOD, portions are generous, prices are excellent, and it's clean! And the bathrooms are clean! I'm trying to finish my two egg omelet with bacon and cheese. It was huge! REAL bacon, cooked on the flattop . . . not premade, skinny bacon. Swing by now (mid-September) and see the outdoor dining and surrounding area which is festooned with pumpkins, mums, corn stalks, wagon wheels . . . and I understand there may be a scarecrow comin'. Good eating at a good price. and very friendly staff. this is typical NC home cook. the breakfast is always very fresh and very good. do not pay attention to negative reviews of people who do not appreciate food other than what they grew up. this is a local owner family space that serves a good selection of good food.
