Przekaż informację zwrotnąI stumbled upon this Bar when I was reading Air Canada's contenders for best restaurants. I was surprised to see that it was only two blocks from my place. Point is, it's easy to miss. I am quite sure I walked by it at least a half dozen times and never saw it. It's SMALL. Very small. Only a few tables which filled up very nicely while we were there. The kitchen is open and also super tiny and explains the limited but delicious share menu. The wine list had plenty of choice including some orange wines. Would highly recommend it.
Went for a wine testing with a friend and discovered that you can try a dozen different types of wine that I hadn't had the pleasure of trying before. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and they are affiliated with Metro Vino so you can go and buy the ones you like. The food was also amazing, simple and tasty.
I went there for and appetizer and wine glass. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about food they serve you and wine. Got excellent oyster with a glass of riesling from Germany. Perfect matching! A must see!
Only 28 seats--so go early, OR definite reservation.Ambience--simplistic, and cozy!A wonderful variety of wines--and more than one choice of rose!Charcuterie is always more than interesting. This time we tried the Shishito peppers---wow! very flavourful.Ask for their bread and house butter with this item! This is a great "secondary "location to enjoy that late night snack, and a full flavoured pairing!Still recommended.
Stopped here with my boyfriend after a Flames game. I only mention that because I'm assuming that's why we got such terrible service - we didn't fit with the typical clientele? The server who seated us said they didn't have a menu, but rather, would get one of the sommeliers to recommend a wine to us based on our tastes. Okay. So we wait for the sommelier to come back and serve us. Despite the bar being only half full, we waited 5 minutes and no one came back to our table. The servers and bartenders were too busy visiting behind the bar to notice that we had no drinks, no food, and nothing on the way. After ten minutes we got up to leave, and the server finally came over to ask if he could help us with something. But by then our patience had expired, and we left. Don't think I'll be back anytime soon.
