Food was fantastic! The catfish, chicken wings, Mac and cheese, yams, and greens were so flavorful. Also received an order of neck bones, which were amazing, so tender the meat just falls right off the bone! The server was so friendly and nice to talk to!

Love it. Atmosphere is so cool makes you wanna just stay there and smile lol frfr.

I came to Hattiesburg to train for my job, I’m a Corporate Chef and I travel often for business ! I typed in healthy food on Google and the 1st place to pop up was the Eastside Soulfood Cafe! I arrived and was greeted by the owner Mrs.Vanessa she was very nice, however her cook a male with multiple tattoos all over his body appeared to be cool at first until he tried to beat me out of $10, he asked me to tip him so he could buy a beer, I offered $3 he tried to take $10 instead! Such a shame , now than I ordered a veggie plate, athe food was cold, because it was already after lunch time and he was breaking down food! Everything was cold but sitting on a steam bar! I was out done with the rest of the experience! I came back to my hotel and my stomach was hurting through out the entire time! That food had been sitting there all day was not kept to temp! It was in the Temperature Danger Zone! She should check her cook as he told me he just got out of jail I don’t know why but he was trying to slick me out of my change! The food was not made from scratch , everything was either Canned or box! I would not recommend this place for fear someone will get sick or scammed if they go!
