As for the food, everything was incredibly delicious! We tried the deviled eggs, bacon-wrapped dates, beet salad, and tomato salad—each dish was fresh and divine. And don’t get me started on the MEATS! The pastrami here is the best I've had outside of Katz's Deli in NYC—seriously! The flavors were fantastic, and the portion sizes were perfect for sharing. Additionally, my friends follow strict gluten-free and sugar-free diets, but there were plenty of options for them, and our server, Sam, was super knowledgeable about what they could eat. The service was flawless too! I can't wait to come back—this time without my health-conscious friends—just so I can indulge in the banana pudding!

Great neighborhood restaurant! The menu is inventive, and the food is delicious. My husband and I shared a two-item combo, which included brisket and sticky ribs, along with a loaded potato and carrot salad. Our son had fries but decided to try one of my ribs after tasting it. Christina, our server, was knowledgeable and attentive. We topped off our meal with banana pudding, which was delightful. I also appreciated the portion sizes; they were just right. This has quickly become one of our favorite places!

This restaurant offers fantastic food, beer, and service! My server, Omar, recommended I try the brisket. Typically, I steer clear of brisket because it tends to be drier and tougher than I prefer, but this brisket was incredibly tender—so tender I could cut it with a fork! It was delicious, smoky, and full of flavor! The restaurant had a charming atmosphere, and the manager, Vanessa, was outstanding!

Thank you for existing. Thank you for your brisket. Thank you for your Vodka On The Menu. Thank you for your bacon wrapped dates. My tastebuds, stomach, cravings and I don't know what we'd do without you. My one and only recommendation is to add one vegetarian option to your entree selection. I can't choose you when accommodating for the vegetarian people I dine with. Never mind, stay the same. I'll take them elsewhere. The Cook and The Bear is the massage for your senses that you hadn't realized you needed. You will leave with maximum satiation.

The food is different and outstanding!!!!!! Bacon wrapped dates stuffed with chorizo sausage was my favorite. Could eat those and the buttermilk biscuits all night. Wait staff very helpful and pleasant. First time at The Cook and the Bear after first tasting their food at Millwright 's. Service was a little too quick. After driving over an hour we were finished eating in less than 40 minutes. Brisket, kielbasa and mac 'n cheese finished the meal. No room for dessert. Next time!!!
