Diva Licensed Indian And Italian

I tried the buffet at Diva for the first time tonight. We were the first ones in at 6pm and were asked to wait until the starters were put out, even though the curries were already there. The starters were fine, but when I went to get the main course, I found that all the curries were cold. I mentioned this to the manager, who went to check the bain marie with the staff member responsible for putting out the food. After tasting the curries himself, he adjusted the controls and returned to our table, telling me to leave the curries for 5 minutes. I decided not to go up again. When my partner went to pay, he suggested that something should be taken off the bill as I had not had a main course. However, the manager turned nasty, refusing to make any adjustments and even calling me a liar when I mentioned that the food was cold. When I asked the staff member to confirm that the manager had adjusted the controls, he told her to stop speaking to us. I am not sure if he is the manager or the owner, but his lack of people skills was evident. While the money was not the important issue, an apology would have been appreciated. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to Diva after experiencing this abusive behavior.

The food is very good, the environment is beautiful.It was very happy to eat with my family. Very sincere in the use of staff.

We as a Reunion group visit this restaurant every year and saw from a previous reviewer it did not appear to warrant its usual 5 Stars, however undeterred we carried on as Normal. The other reviews could not be more wrong. Our Entire Group were made most welcome and immediately observed the entire premises had been given a Total facelift, new lighting, seating etc. All very tasteful, next our usual Alcohol appreciation society bit, yes all still great and they still stock Cobra. Going onto the Meals first impressions were the Choice had virtually Doubled, everything I tried was Top Notch and not a single negative comment from any of the Group, and believe me they know their curries. Nice choice of Sweets and Coffee if required to finish. All in all great Value, We all purchased the £29.99 Big Ticket which gave us all we wanted to eat and all we wanted to drink. The Proprietor Staff were always on hand to assist when required but never in your face like some Restaurants, I know most of you will understand that. will we Return, Most Definitely, quite a distance for some of us , but worth every penny.

Changes hands, food not as nice and service is slow, standard options but definitely not as good as was before

Really tasty and a big portion. Including a pint of lovely Cobra for under seventeen quid. Very quick and friendly service. Will return if in the area again....
