The Galley Cafe Lyme Regis

An author local to the town centre, it was essential that I found a warm, buzzing and friendly cafe to go and edit my book, where I felt instantly welcome and my presence was valued After all, that’s what you want from a cafe...where you spend a lot of time, and sometimes, I’m in there for about five hours…. Well…..The Galley Cafe has just that and more! I not only have had some wonderful dining experiences in this place, but I’ve also had the honour of making such good friends there too…. Every single person here is a gem Where else could you order multiple hot chocolates, coffees, take up half the table, and consume tons of brie and baguettes…. I don’t often write reviews on Trip Advisor as, well, I’m too busy editing and writing my book, but I love this place, so so much Back tomorrow, for the sixth day in a row and cannot freaking wait! The cafe is charming and offers an extensive variety of cakes, savory snacks, and food. We thoroughly enjoyed our cake and were delighted that they offer oatly 'milk'.

It was late morning, We popped in cause we were ready to eat and there were tables free. Normally we’ll scope out reviews here on TA, but the inside tables were there so we grabbed them on a day with questionable weather. What a delightful...surprise! Later we saw good reviews here and said, of course! We enjoyed a second breakfast- happily eating eggs royale, sausage bap, smoked haddock and poached eggs, and a full Montgomery. All of us were pleased with our food. Highlights: The bread, fab; the eggs, perfect and the mushrooms divine. Would definitely come again!

Happened upon this cafe on a wet Sunday afternoon. The staff were friendly, yet professional. The pasty was tasty, and the coffee excellent. Highly recommended.

We’re lucky enough to live locally and this is our go-to breakfast and lunch spot. Always made to feel at home, always served awesome food, friendly service which lets you come out feeling far more chilled than you went in. Keian and the team go...above and beyond can’t recommend highly enough
