The Fox Inn - West Dorset

Excellent dog friendly cute country pub with delicious food. Duck special was lovely, as was the rib eye steak, and home made pie. Great wine list too.

Cracking pub. Under new management with a new menu. Had a family lunch there yesterday delicious and expertly constructed duck confit with 5 bean cassoulet, cod in tapenade crust with salsa verde and new potatoes, crème brûlée, chocolate ganache, and affogato. Great local ales, a good range of Sherry for something different and a nice interesting and affordable wine list. Can’t wait to go back and sit outside in the gorgeous surroundings but happy indoors too. Very dog and family friendly too. Superb value, quality ingredients and highly recommended

We visited today (30 June) it's very definitely not closed! We only stopped for a couple of pints of (very well kept) Exmoor Ale but will definitely be back. A pub with a lot of traditional atmosphere in a beautiful location. There are outside seats too. So glad that Sharon is now running The Fox and taking it back to being a traditional country pub.

Absolutely smashing boozer! Excellent hosts, great company. Also fantastic music. Would recommend 10/10!!!
