Costa Coffee -bridport - West Dorset

NEED TO UP THEIR GAME! Bridport certainly doesn 't lack coffee shops. Great range offering different styles, etc. Costa, however, seem content churning out their stewed bitter blend for top dollar. Across the road in the Ropemakers the coffee is 10x better. This branch lacks any atmosphere and is regularly full of screaming infants. Tuesday seems to be 'bring your child to Costa Day '.

It took 20mins to serve 3 customers. Poor service and rude staff I won't be coming back to this store.

Although staff were pleasant and polite. To be told oat milk doesn't froth, is no excuse. Costa used to the best coffee around which area or town you went to, now it's becoming the most expensive and most inconsistent., oat milk needs to shaken to mix each time it's used and not it's just poured straight outno wonder it doesn't froth.

Taking the old girl out for a coffee is sometimes no fun as she used to work in the industry so she knows her crema. She used to be involved in importation from some of the finest coffee bean producing regions. This was before the Suez Canal was fully functional so tricky times. However the smiling lady here and acceptance of her moaning won us over. Great froth,great smiles,great small market town and great motability access. Well done Bridport !

I don't mind Costa, but they vary so much. I tend to avoid the one in my home town as it's so messy, but sometimes you have to take what's there. I was driving home from the West Country and needed a coffee and comfort stop. In a small town like Bridport on Easter Monday the choice is limited. I didn't have toime to explore so went to the first open coffee shop I saw. If you frequent Costa you will now exactly what to expect. The formula never changes. Behind the counter where the coffee is made was predictably messy. It nearly always is, but the coffee was fine, and the lemon muffins very agreeable. It did what it needed to do.
