The Tally Ho - West Devon

We ate here one evening and the food was very good and reasonably priced. The pub was full of friendly youngsters giving the place a good feel.

Excellent food, great atmosphere. Kids are always welcome and the outdoor area is great. There’s always an event going on and the staff really make you feel welcome.

My partner and I have been to the Tally Ho on a number of occasions and have found the food to be of a good quality.

Not our first visit, though it has been a while, and this occasion was with friends for a lunch time meal. Mid-week, so not overly busy in this fairly traditional pub that still brews its own beer, which was on offer along with a couple of others from the 'bigger south-west boys '. Good selection of dishes available for lunch, and what particularly impressed us was the number of vegetarian options. The specials board was perhaps less of interest to vegetarians, or even pescatarians, as the fish had a sauce with bacon. That said, they were very accommodating and replaced the sauce with something more acceptable. Nice and warm interior with wood stove kept well going one end, service very good, and overall, fair value.

We ate here on Sunday night , only because we were staying at the George hotel and they only serve pizza Sunday evenings. We were pleasantly surprised, really good choice on the menu. All four of us had a good meal.
