Starbucks - West Des Moines

We ordered two coffees: a hot caramel macchiato and a hot apple crisp macchiato. The caramel macchiato had a strange taste, and we initially thought it just needed to be stirred, only to discover a piece of gum in it. We called the store, and they told us to come in for gift cards. However, two $4 gift cards don’t even cover the $12 we spent on the drinks, which seems inadequate given the situation. It’s quite disgusting, and we expected more action to be taken. As for the apple crisp macchiato, it also tasted off, though I’m not sure if it was just my taste preference or if it was somehow prepared incorrectly. Thankfully, there was no gum in that one.

It's a Starbucks. It was conveniently located near my hotel, so I stopped by in the morning for some caffeine. It was a hot day, so I opted for a cold brew. The drive-thru line was long, but it moved quickly! I would definitely stop by again if I'm in the area.

The service was prompt and courteous. However, I'm still not a fan of how diluted their drinks tend to be, and the prices can be higher compared to similar places. On the bright side, this location is quite beautiful.

The atmosphere is quite loud, and there aren't many comfortable seating options available. Unfortunately, there's no fireplace to enhance the ambiance. On the bright side, the drive-thru service is excellent if you're just looking to grab a quick meal. However, if you're seeking a cozy and relaxed environment, you might be left feeling disappointed.

The drive-thru is very slow, and the baristas tend to rush my order. While I could overlook that if my drink tasted good, unfortunately, it doesn’t. Additionally, I've noticed bugs flying around at times.
