Noodle Zoo - West Des Moines

This isn't a Noodles and Company, or a Z'Mariks (ick). This is Bob Monkey's Noodle Zoo. I've dined here with my family and friends many times and not once been disappointed by our food or service. The woman who owns this restaurant is a gem, and her smartass son with an acerbic wit isn't bad either. Greek Chicken Focaccia with House Salad is my pick. This place isn't just Noodles, it's a medley of various culinary roots and it is simply one of the best places to dine in the Des Moines area.

I like this place. It's a very comfortable environment. Food is quite good... maybe a little on the high side for business lunch, but good. Busy during the week. I'll be back!

Soups are wonderful and staff was very friendly. Did not see any bugs,the place looked real clean and the food was fresh and delightful.

Our son selected Noodle Zoo for his pre-wedding dinner this October, and it turned out to be a delightful evening! With about 30 of us, we had the entire restaurant to ourselves. During cocktail hour, we enjoyed a great selection of wines and beers. The ambiance was charming, featuring fresh flowers throughout the room and on the buffet table. Dinner was fantastic! Although we had a range of entrees to choose from, the apricot pork chops were my personal favorite. The chocolate crepe for dessert was the perfect conclusion to the meal. The service was exceptional, and the background music contributed to the lovely atmosphere. We arrived 30 minutes early (as the rehearsal was brief), but they kindly accommodated us.

I had lunch at the restaurant a week ago and ordered a salad with warm chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, rotini pasta, and croutons. It was easily the best salad I've had in years! The lettuce was chilled and crisp, while the chicken was warm and packed with flavor. It was outstanding, and I plan to go back soon and bring my friends so they can try it too.
