Sheng Hui Dim Sum - West Covina

We went to a bigger Dim Sum restaurant down the street, they didn’t even bother to come by and take our order, even though the sign in the front directed us to come to the counter to order.This carryout restaurant on the other hand, is small mom and pop restaurant! The food is legit and delicious! They made everything from scratch! My wife and I walked in early morning and we saw the gentleman in the back rolling the dumplings the traditional way! Highly recommend this spot!

Our favorite items are the Har Gow (steamed shrimp dumplings), Siu Mai (steamed roe mushroom pork shrimp), steamed Char Siu Bao (steamed BBQ pork bun), steamed chicken feet, pan fried turnip cakes. We have found them to be consistently well prepared on our numerous visits there. The location is conveniently located for Walnut residents and eliminates having to drive the traffic mess of Rowland Heights and the City of Industry. The online ordering process, one of the best I've encountered, is very user friendly and simple to execute even for a challenged senior citizen like me.

I'm surprised with a lot of positive reviews here. There are plenty of better dim sum places in Rowland Heights. I've tried this once and I wouldn't come back again. Flavor is very bland and does not taste fresh. I would not recommend this place.

Take-out only.Hole-in-the-wall kitchen, but it’s clean.No service, but the owners are nice and helpful.Tastes great, probably the best dim sum I have ever had in the Los Angeles area so far. Can’t compare to Vancouver or Toronto, but I’m impressed! As good as it gets here in USA.Fresh ingredients, dumplings filled with lots of shrimp and meat without much pork fat fillers.Will return!

I think the reviews in this spot is mostly fake because I went there twice for to do during Covid because this is the only place closer to my house. The steam beef meatball is super nasty and doesn't even taste like meat and all the other stuff are soso quality.
