Mcdonald's - West Covina

It's a great spot for grabbing a bite at the drive-thru. Their Coca-Cola is always fresh.

Everyone loves McDonald's, but this location is just awful. Whether you try the drive-thru or mobile order and pickup, they are significantly slower than any other McDonald's. I don't understand why they even offer mobile ordering. I placed my order, drove over, selected my parking spot in the app, and then just watched as car after car went through the drive-thru. New cars arriving after me were served and on their way while I was left waiting. It's frustrating!

I can't understand why McDonald's consistently gets my order wrong! Not only do they mess it up, but their staff is also unprofessional and rude. I had a frustrating experience with a manager, which compelled me to escalate it to corporate. Honestly, they could use some training from Chick-fil-A!

What makes this location so frustrating is that the staff doesn't seem to be working efficiently at all. There appears to be little regard for customers' time, and the communication among employees is lacking. The service is slow compared to another local McDonald's off Azusa and Amar, and they are clearly understaffed. Even if they had more employees, management doesn't seem to prioritize efficiency. The facilities are also an issue. One of the first screens you see is bubbling, and the main menu screen in the drive-thru frequently glitches. Additionally, I've witnessed a cashier wearing gloves handle food and then money, and then food again, without washing their hands in between. The gloves seem to be more about keeping the worker's hands clean rather than preventing cross-contamination. Proper hygiene practices should have been followed. I gave this location 2 stars instead of 1 because the food still tastes as it should. I'll give it another chance mid-next year, but I hope for some improvements by then.

There's a significant issue with the management and service at this McDonald's. I ordered a smoothie that was listed in the app, but after a long wait in the drive-thru, I was informed that they don’t actually have it. They offered to give me a large frappuccino as compensation, but instead, I received a small one. I didn’t come here for coffee; I wanted a smoothie or a refund. Other McDonald's locations provide much better service.
