Kopan Sushi Ramen_ West Covina

I’ve been here a few times, even before the remodel and change of name. The food is really good here, service is fairly slow, usually 1-2 servers and pricey. Small portions and it’s really pricey but food is good. I bought the large sashimi boat and I felt that it wasn’t really worth the price. Definitely will not get it again. Jalapeño bombs were decent but very very small. It’s basically 2 jalapeño cut into halves. I really enjoyed the Sapporo roll, volcano roll, and the zen was great. I’m not a fan of baked salmon roll and the super Philadelphia roll is mid, just small portions. Most of the premium rolls are $14.95-$18 each and are about 6-8 rolls but small rolls. Definitely not our go to spot but we will come sometimes if we going to the movies next door. Under the new ownership, this place is definitely much better than Damu. The new remodeled interior is amazing. Really pretty and unique.

Really like the atmosphere of this Kopan location!! All the waitresses were super super friendly here. They pay attention to your drink level and ask whether you needed refills and whether everything is alright. The presentations of all the food we've ordered was amazing! Sushi comes with the correct size and fish is fresh. Rolls comes in good portion sizes and have their own unique flavors to them. The only thing I wish they can improve is their wasabi, it feels a bit too grainly and powdery and not enough flavor to it. Would definetly recommend and come back here to dine again!!!

The bento box hits the spot is quite tasty. They used to offer a 3 item box, but now there's only a 2 item option. Boo! My coworkers and I have come here more than once for work lunch and will probably go back. They're able to sit 10 of us without issue. They would get the full 5 stars if they didn't remove the 3 item bento box. Bring it back!
