We were warmly welcomed by the attentive staff who promptly took our order and payment. After giving us a number, we seated ourselves. The atmosphere was nothing particularly remarkable. However, the food was served hot and in a timely manner. The restaurant specializes in mustard-based BBQ and also offers a selection of rubs and sauces for purchase.

I had beef brisket catered, and it was gone in no time. Accompanied by both Maurice's Hickory Red and Southern Gold sauces, the beef was incredibly tender and practically melted in my mouth. If there’s a filet mignon in the world of barbecue, it’s definitely Maurice’s beef brisket. Smoky, juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor—these words barely capture the experience of enjoying it. Eating this brisket is an absolute delight for your taste buds and your stomach. There’s ordinary beef brisket, and then there’s Maurice's Beef Brisket. Don’t miss out on this treat! The service was outstanding, and since we love BBQ, it didn't take much to impress us. The macaroni and cheese was just as delicious as my grandma's. The hash and rice were flavorful, and the brisket was incredible. I highly recommend giving this place a try, but be prepared for a busy atmosphere. This is a great historic BBQ spot!

This place use to be one of my go to's for sandwiches but it has really gone down hill. They use to have the best fried chicken sandwiches but have changed the chicken. I'd rather have Wendy's now. Also, the new buns are awful, like tearing leather. Still good service but I won't be back often.
