Hawthorne's Backyard - West Chicago

Great eating and fun relaxing atmosphere. we had a party here in one of the outside tents that celebrated a birthday and the staff went beyond and beyond. thank you for getting our curse balloons and keeping all drinks orders! I was not even home after hosting this party on hawthorne’s, and I had lyrics on my handy of friends and family say how fun the party was there!

Nice outside seating with small fire pit, sand volleyball and bags. Live entertainment on Friday nights. Prime Rib Sandwich, Pot Roast and Ruben are favorites. Prices are fair and service is good.

Great service, the bartender was a sweetheart. The kitchen wasn’t open yet and she made us some wings and cheese curds . Had a Long Island ice tea and it was very good. Would definitely recommend.

Service has always been great here at Hawthornes back yard. It’s a nice spot to come visit in summer days. The back yard is the spot- You can play basketball tack tack toe (yes, cool I know) , volleyball, a playground, live music. Wednesday is trivia night. Whenever my siblings are town I usually bring them here for a nice family vibe .

Visited with a family of four on Saturday, late afternoon. The bar was hopping and the restaurant was quiet. Our server was obviously new and learning the menu, but he was friendly and welcoming. The food was just ok. BLT Dip was fantastic (and the whole appetizer menu looked amazing). Grilled salmon was great, but brisket, cheese burger and Mac cheese weren't anything special. I would definitely return for bands, trivia or bingo, but won't rush back to the restaurant.
