V - West Chester

We came here for their NYE Price Fix Menu and we are so glad we did! The food, atmosphere, and staff were all amazing. It was 5 courses for $85 per person and each course were so great- we wish we didn't get full so quickly. We started out with their antipasti board. Everything on it was delicious, especially the calamari. Then we had their truffle mushroom soup. I'm not a fan of mushrooms, but I ate the whole bowl, it was so good and creamy! Then we had some pasta. We had the lobster ravioli and gnocchi, both were so good! I would come back just for the lobster ravioli! Followed up by the main course of filet tips lobster and braised veal cheeks... so good! Dessert was a trio of beignets and chocolate cake. We had a few of their cocktails and finished with an champagne toast. They did such a great job organizing NYE making it fun with a DJ too. It hit the mark for everything we wanted, a nice meal and some fun to ring in the new year. We will definitely be back in 2022 to try their full menu.

On Friday night before a few weeks. try to order the cheeseboard, but no cheese. I ordered the arancini (which was really good) and asked for some broth to suck the marinara. no brot. how to have one of the most popular restaurants in wc not on Friday before the rush or cheese.

Since moving to West Chester a little over a year ago, we 've tried several restaurants in the area and none have impressed me as much as Bar Avalon. From the attention to details by the entire staff, the impeccable service of waiters and waitresses, to the delicious food, and the well crafted drinks from the bar- it 's all absolutely perfect!! ' One of the only restaurants that actually brings you an adequate amount of alcohol in your drink! I would say the only downside is there isn 't much in the way of quiet corners to have a romantic date. Don 't get me wrong, the atmosphere is really beautiful but the bar often gets crowded so the noise carries into the rest of the restaurant. This one downfall aside, this restaurant still beats out the fancy restaurant we tried recently in the Burrough for our anniversary and I REALLY wish we had gone here instead! We 're moving in a few months away from the area and we are truly going to miss the food and drinks from Bar Avalon.

We dined here for the first time on a Friday night, and we will definitely return. The outdoor seating area is delightful, and the staff is both friendly and efficient. The food deserves a perfect score. The menu features unique items that stand out from the usual fare. We savored the short ribs pasta, which was delicious, as well as the goat cheese, fig, and short rib pizza, which was also fantastic.
