Stratford Haven - West Bridgford

I had a lengthy conversation with Tom at work today. He talked about the restaurant's menu and mentioned their vegan options since I’m vegan. I'm planning to visit them soon!

Fantastic pub with excellent beer, tasty food, and very friendly staff.

I completely agree with both statements. It's a fantastic place! Too bad about the crowd, though. I was there for lunch yesterday, and it was just as wonderful as I remembered from two years ago. I had a chicken cake that was to die for, along with homemade fries, which were a refreshing change compared to what you find at some places! They also served four types of fresh vegetables that were nearly perfectly cooked (I prefer mine a bit crispy). I can't comment on the tip since I worked a late shift, but the peaceful atmosphere in this pub is a lovely alternative to the trendy spots at the other end of the avenue! xx

Whenever I go home, my friends know they have to meet me in the animal shop, and that really doesn't matter. it is a real pub, no djs, no loud music, no entertainment arcade. the right beer (castle brewery and some excellent guests beer (up to 14 cask ales). joy! the staff is good in the position to pull a good pint, and they must keep the cellar in good order, I never had a bad pint, and I had some here. eating is also good, with daily specialties and a curry night. it can get a lot to do, especially if there is a game on (cricket or football). the only thing that makes it down is the outside area that is really just a postage stamp in trim (they can't fool me.

Good pub. Always a good sign when theres a shaggy dog or two lying around. Its a Castle Rock pub, so you know there will be some decent ales on tap and the food is interesting. The quiz night is weird, you have all night to answer the questions
