Val's Delicatessen - WEST BLOOMFIELD

Tasty corned beef. Busy place. Service a little inattentive and slow. But I think that’s because they are busy.

The salads were fantastic. The grilled chicken was delicious. There was enough salad for two people! We had the Asian salad and the Greek each with chicken.

Just had lunch at Val’s for the first time! What an outstanding place! Food, service was amazing!Portions were great and delicious!My daughter and grandkids loved there meal!I’ll definitely be back!

The cashier was disappointingly rude. Her customer service abilities should be reviewed and improved. No one should have to wait to be serviced due to the cashier's engaging in a personal conversation. Unacceptable ?Vegetarian options: The caprese salads, stuffed variety dishes did not disappoint. Kudos

My experience here was possibly an outlier so I ask everyone who stumbles across this review to please give Val's a try. Our waitperson was lousy, my food was lousy and to make matters worse I was told to select two sides from a list of sides listed. Well I was then told one wasn't made that day and my second choice was not actually available as a side. Upon questioning the waitperson it was offered that the waitperson could go grab Val. I thought that was a lovely idea, well needless to say Val never made an appearance and obviously it was because Val was hiding in the back. The whole situation was weird. Anyway I would hate for anyone to not go to Val's based on my experience. So my suggestion is give Val's a shot.
