I selected roast lamb, it was the best roast that I have had in ages, really nicely cooked, did not have to wait too long either, would defiantly recommend. Staff are friendly with a lovely atmosphere. Looking forward to going again.
It was like being in a funeral parlour...the Barman was miserable, unbecoming and if that 's typical of the 'team ' no wonder there wasn 't much trade. The venue was visibly dirty and closing the Kitchen at 2.00pm in 2024 is bizarre...there can 't possibly be any atmosphere with the layout of the Pub and to have a screen by the bar for the Landlord to sit and eat breakfast at gone 1.00pm is equally bizarre and unfocused on customers and trade...shan 't be going there again surprise surprise...
Horrid Pub, Owner manager is rude and a tell lies. They hate dogs Place is well unkept and dirty.
This restaurant has the potential to be a great pub, but it seems like the owners have given up on it. The place has charming old beams and a fireplace that just needs a warming fire. Unfortunately, it was empty on a Saturday afternoon and even the bar was unattended. I had to ask for my pint to be filled to the top, which should never be necessary. Food stopped being served at a surprisingly early time of 3pm, right in the middle of prime pub lunch hours. It's a shame to see this potentially lovely pub being neglected, especially since there doesn't seem to be any decent competition in the area. It's time for the owners to put some effort in and hopefully revive what could be a fantastic local pub.
Went for a pint and possibly lunch, but were put off from staying longer by the unpleasant smell of stale cooking oil that lingers everywhere and is strongest by the bar. If you visit you and everyone you’ve ever known and loved will likely end up smelling the same.
