Flipside Burger Bar - Wembley

Great burgers. Old style gourmet. Would recommend. Freshest and quality ingredients Flipside classic burgers include beef, chicken breast and special chickpea and sweet potato veggie patties.<br/ Chips are good as well. Can eat at the Stanley next door. <br/

Busy little burger joint, food takes awhile to prepare but tastes better than it looks. Probably one of the better eateries along Cambridge.

We stopped in at the Wembley store on Cambridge Street for a late lunch. Although it appeared to be a full house, by the time we placed our order at the counter, a table outside became available. Even better it was in the full sun, a nice spot for us to soak in some of the winter sun.<br/ <br/ I went with the classic burger on a gluten free bun (first burger in the photo) which comes with a beef meat patty, lettuce, red onion, tomato relish and mayo. The bun was lightly toasted and the char grill flavour of the West Australian beef, followed by the fresh crisp salad were stand outs to the meal. The simplest burger on the menu at Flipside, it was fantastic.<br/ <br/ The other half went with the Blue train, distinctly different from the other burgers by the inclusion of a layer of pungent blue cheese. You either love or feel great disdain towards this unique tasting cheese. Having said that, I would encourage anyone to try, it does compliment the beef and isn’t quite as dominant. The Blue Train is a memorable burger.

The burgers here are decent value, and taste great. There's a decent variety, with the option to add more toppings. I'd imagine when it's busy there's a bit of a wait, but it seems usually it takes about 15 minutes to prepare a burger. The chips are on the crispier side, which I like, but there's still enough potatoey ones to satisfy everyone. They do get quite salty towards the bottom of the bowl, but luckily there's freely available tomato sauce.

I'm so obsessed with Flipside it's not funny. These are the kind of home made style burgers you could totally make yourself but taste 10 times better cos someone else made them! What I like about the Wembley store is you can order your burger and have it delivered next door to a bar area um, amazing! The chicken burger is scrumptious and juicy. Nice chips too!
